James & Sharon Walsh

Board Chairman

James Walsh currently serves as Board Chairman for MARC. He has been the pastor at Kasilof Community Church since 2015. Before coming to Kasilof, he was pastor at Lake Clark Bible Church in Port Alsworth, Alaska for 25 years, and Executive Director at Tanalian Bible Camp for 12 years. After receiving a degree in Aviation Technology from LeTourneau College, God called him to preach.

Pastor James is a student of the Word of God and has a passion for expository preaching. He is devoted to leading the congregation into all truth and desires that all understand the great salvation offered through Jesus Christ.

Sharon has given herself to minister to her husband and the children God has given her. She has a special concern for all of the children to learn and grow in their knowledge of Jesus Christ and the Word of God. She rejoices to see other women using their gifts and skills to build up the body, a good sign of a healthy church.

James & Sharon were married in 1985 and have 5 children (Kristin, Daniel, Joel, Rachel, John) and 7 grandchildren.
