Tom & Nancy Armstrong
Maintenance Specialist
Thomas is a pilot & mechanic and is excited to be serving with MARC. He was raised in the church and decided to follow Christ at a young age. However, it wasn’t until he was an adult that he became convicted that his life didn’t necessarily look any different from that of his unbelieving friends. It was then that he decided to return to a previous pursuit of serving the Lord through mission aviation. Thomas completed his flight training in South Dakota and completed an apprenticeship for his Airframe and Powerplant license in Minnesota. The Lord has gifted him with many practical skills through working as a commercial sheet metal worker, farming, and ranching. Thomas also spent time living and cowboying on the Cheyenne River Sioux reservation in South Dakota where he became accustomed to the culture, blessings, and challenges faced by Native American groups. Serving native groups is one reason Thomas is particularly excited to serve with MARC.
Thomas and Nancy met in 2018 and were married in 2020. Nancy was also raised in a Christian home and decided to follow Christ at a young age. Nancy began working at a small Bible camp in northwest Montana while attending school in Billings. Upon graduating from college, she had the opportunity to serve with the camp full time as their office manager for five years before she and Thomas were married and relocated to Minnesota. Nancy is excited about the service MARC provides for Bible camps in Alaska.
They arrived in Soldotna, Alaska and began full-time service at MARC in June 2022.
